My Mother and I both have bad veins both the big ones and the smaller ones and my question is do you take most insurances and will you work with someone who has no insurance. My Mother has insurance although I am not sure right now who with but I can ask her this weekend. Hope that you are well .next news is I am suffering from varicose vein disease in my leg. Vein puffs up in my leg .This problem is in both leg. I had operation of that varicose vein 15 years ago in Dhaka. Doctor NABI ALAM KHAN told it will never puff up again but this problem has seen again. I wish to share my experience here for the varicose vein treatment that I have undergone recently. I was suffering from V V since 20 years with swelled veins on my left leg with inflammation and itching. Many times I decided to go for the treatment but I was searching for a non-surgical. i am a 27 yrs old pateint of DVT on left leg and finished treatment (anticoagulant acitrom)from the past 1.5 years and using compression stockings..because of walking without stockings for many days after the attack the valves have damaged resulting incompetent perforator.. so swelling and pain in ankle and calf still persists with and without stockings..i would like to know if laser technology really helps to cure it from root..if yes then which one??please guide the right doctor and clinic in mumbai,delhi or bangalore..because pateints still have complaint after laser treatment..i would really apreciate ur help..waiting for your response

Hi, i had variocse veins from a very early age due to my extra weight and was trying to postpone the treatment for many years.But finally i had to get it treated as i was advised that sooner or later i had to face the complications of varicose veins.I got weight under control and got my varicose vein treated by Laser treatment from Dr.Rahul Jadhav from Mumbai. I am from Kerala, Trichur Dt. My wife has been suffered by vericose vein since last 6, 7 years besides a kind of skin diseases also. Treatment continuing for skin disease last 2,3 years. But if the medicine will stop, again skin disease will start. Recently Doctor has told me that treatment should be taken for the vericose veing. I am Mrs.Manisha Mehta from Mulund,Mumbai. I first encountered varicose veins during my first pregnancy and the doctor said that it will disappear after the birth of my first child.But the varicose veins did not completly disappear and were still there afetr 45yrs and it was causing me problems like blackening of my leg and wound.I remember my sister having same problem and had surgery and had a big mark on her leg becasue of the operation and that is why i did not want surgery.I decided to take varicose vein treatment in Mumbai by Dr.Rahul Jadhav in Mulund by Laser treatment as it was very simple and there was no pain.After the treatment there is no mark on my legs like my sister. I advise all the people with varicose veins to go for Laser treatment as good option.

My name is Ram Krishan Sachdeva (M -65 yrs).
On 29th June I visited a Cardiologist with persistent(past 2 days) left leg calf pain (Cramp like). After Clinical investigations and Venous Doppler test it was diagonised as: “Unprovoked DVT”(Deep Vein Thrombosis) and I was put on Inj. Clexane 0.4 mg for 5 days extended by another 2 days, and Warfarine-3mg/day which was increased to 5mg from 1st July,2011 with regular monitoring of INR till target achieved. INR which was initially 1.25 increased to 2.52 on 5th July. After ECHO/ECG etc tests I was advised to continue Warfarine-5mg and to repeat INR after one month.

On 21st (July)morning I started having abdomen pain and subsequently Nausea/ burping & vomitting. I was hospitalised in the evening- Ultrasound showed blockage of Intestine?(Chest X-ray and CTC Scan was also done). Next morning ( 22nd July) since problem was persisting I shifted to a Speciality Hospital in New Delhi(India). Laparoscopy Operation of Intestine had to be postponed for 3 days as the Blood was too thin(INR 5.4 and PTT 54). Laparoscopic Check showed blood/blood Clots all over Intestine which were flushed out. Twice endoscopy/Enteroscopy was carried out. Color Dopler test carried out on 28th July showed no DVT/no clots
The Diogonosis was:
• Intramural jejunal hematoma(Warfarin induced) with Intestine obstruction,
• FUC of doubtful deep vein thrombosis,
I am Hypertension and on regular use of Telma-H for past many years
T.K.R(Bilateral-both knees) was done two years back.

High resolution Duplex scanning of the Veins of left lower limb along with detailed color flow Angio and road mapping was done on 20th august which shows:

• Residual Thrombus seen in the Prox.seg. of Lt. Post. Tib Vein
• Diameter stenosis:Lt. Post Tib v.-prox.seg.-70%
• Venous Blood is high viscous.
• Valsalva sign-positive on the left side
• Augmentation reaction +ve with bi-directional flow at the Lt. Sapheno-Fem & Lt. Sapheno-Popi.junctions suggestive of Venous Valve insufficiency.
• Lt. Long Saph. v. and Lt. Short Saph.v. are Dilated and Varicosed along with branch varicosity
• Dia. Of superficial veins:
1. Lt. long Sph.v-SF junction-13mm
2. Lt. long Sph.v-mid. Thigh- 6-5 mms
3. Lt. long Sph.v-mid calf.- 5-4 mms
4. Lt. short Sph.v- 4-5 mms
• An incompetent perforator(dia-4mm) seen in Lt. lower mid calf region medially
• Odeama of soft tissue and hyperpigmentation of the lower legs

I have been advised Acitrom 1mg/2mg alternate days and to do PTT after 10 days of use of medicine, Compression Stockings during day time and elevation of legs.
PT test after 14 days result: Protherombi Time(PT)-25.4 Secs.(Normal range-11.4-13.7)
INR- 2.52(0.00-1.4)
Dr. advised(telephonically) to continue with same dosage and repeat PT after 1 month.

Now I seek your opinion/advice. Warfarine was stopped on 21st july itself.
Important: I have no visual/symtoms varicosity or any swelling etc

Nowadays too much hype is given for v.vein treatment and I am quite surprised to see Doctors so eagerly hunting for vein patients through lots of ads .A doc friend of me said, much often these patients are over treated!.The medical council must do something.As apatient you MUST get a second opinion before starting any treatment.
