Spider vein removal

Spider vein removal is a procedure designed to permanently remove spider veins, leaving your legs looking younger and healthier.  According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 480,000 spider vein removal procedures were performed in the United States in the year 2003. Those considering spider vein removal should first find a qualified cosmetic surgeon to perform the procedure.  Spider veins can be treated a number of ways. The most common ways are: injection therapy (Sclerotherapy) or laser therapy (Laser removal of spider veins). While vein injections are the treatment of choice for many individuals, a combined approach using intense pulsed light or laser therapy along with sclerotherapy will provide superior results in many cases.  Other treatments include electrodessication, which uses electrical current, and phlebectomy, which involves making small incisions along the vein to remove it surgically.
